Eleanor and Roosevelt
I'm such an evil being for not mentioning that I have a new pet. Meet Eleanor...
She is hella quiet and sweet and hates my sister Drea haha. Eleanor got a companion about a week ago, Roosevelt, but the poor little thing passed away on Thursday. I knew there was something wrong with it because it was super plumpy and it was always looking down. R.I.P. Roosevelt. Is it wrong to return it to Petco? Is it morbid that the little carcass is in a paper box in the living room?......
Ps: I have a new favorite beat...
My dad was listening to a music channel on TV and "Mass Appeal" came on by Gang Starr, great song btw and upon perusing all their videos on the lovely and convenient invention that is youtube I found "Code of the Streets." Damn there is so much hip hop I am still learning about...

It Lingers
Shitty mood still effective, but I am great at disguising this fact. Started reading Six Wives: The Queens of Henry VIII. Actually sat down and wrote a rhyme, it rocks. Discovered a fatty spider on my curtain next to my bed. Killed the poor thing (I think) but the carcass is missing. Saw Rosemary's Baby for the second time, that film is great. Rosemary becomes bony thin and births Satan's baby. Seriously questioned why I don' believe in God (do I ?) because everyone around me certainly does. I believe in the earth, the soil, the water, the wind...The after-life? Live as a tree or a bird.

Too Blue
I am a wreck...
For the past week or so I've been utterly emotional. I try hard not to be, but something is bugging me. Something is not sitting right in my gut :( I hate feeling this way. I am unmotivated at times and I'll start something and not complete it because it's never good enough. My brain goes off into a thousand directions and I begin to think too much for my own good.

Finally!
First off I never made the damn necklace. Well I tried, but the plastic string that I have did not cut it. I need something that's heavier and durable. My time did not go to waste though. I drew a pic of this lady with the dopest eye make up. I used pencil and pastels, I'll post a photo soon.
Eleven more days until we have a new president!!!!
The Von Bondies are releasing a new album, FINALLY! It's been five years, damnnnnn! It's titled Love, Hate, and Then There's You, and it will be released February 3.

Productivity is a Bitch
Good Morning! I just woke up with the phattiest stomach ache ever. This happens almost every fucking day. There's something wrong with me, but I have this thing about facing the truth...hahaha
I'm down to my last days of vacation. This week has been a complete waste. I haven't done as much as I would have liked to do, but then again I don't know what the hell I'm to do to feel productive. I helped my mother put the tree down, that's productive. I'm almost finished reading the Narrative of Frederick Douglass, that's productive. I FINALLY organized my art supplies, that's productive. I discovered that I have like a million beads and upon perusing the Forever 21 website there are two options as to how to put the beads into use:

Feeling Crafty
Today I felt a bit crafty and decided to customize a shirt. I don't even know how it happened. I haven't made anything in a while, but all of a sudden I had the urge to cut someone, err I mean something up. I realize that it sounds strange, but if you KNOW me you are quite aware of the fact that 60% of what I say is pure sarcasm.
Back to my epiphany that I HAD to make something. As I perused style.com I remembered that my sister told me that Kat Von D had a shirt tutorial on youtube. I gave it a look and as soon as it was over I was feverishly searching for a tee shirt in the pile of neatly folded clothes on the carpeted floor and through my drawers full of tops.
I finally decided on my new mustard yellow "I Love NY" shirt, got the pair of "good scissors" and cut cut cut until I had about like fifteen cuts horizontally and one running through almost the entire back of the shirt. I connected the long flaps that formed after the multiple cuts by tying them together and did a similar treatment to the sleeves except I did not tie the flaps together and instead let them hang.
The shirt looked hot but it needed a little, shall we say BANG and the natural thing of course was to embellish it with beads so I hung three beads on three flaps per sleeve and tied the ends to keep the beads from falling off. The shirt was looking pretty fly by this point but I thought that I might as well go all the way and "hooch" it up a bit by cutting the collar a bit and making it a v neck. The results are dope nonetheless.
